Shrink videos for email, messaging apps and uploads. Processing is done by FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly — powerful, private, and sometimes slow on large files, so start with a short clip if you are testing.

Choose a video Resolution CRF (quality): 28 — lower = better quality & larger file

FFmpeg loads on first use (vendored locally when available, otherwise via the documented CDN fallback in the source).

Privacy: This tool runs entirely on your device. Nothing you select is uploaded to a server.

How to use it

CRF 28 at 720p is a strong default for sharing clips.
If text in a screen recording looks soft, lower CRF to 23–25 or keep the original resolution.
Long 4K videos can take a long time and a lot of memory in a browser tab — trim them first on your device when possible.
